Little Shopping Haul

Right now is March break for me and so far it’s been really nice. I’ve worked a lot (I work at Nike by the way), but I’m happy about that because I need the money to save up for university next year. I have also done a little bit of much needed shopping on my break. It’s mostly beauty items and some clothing.
First I went into MAC because I’ve wanted to start a 15 palette for the longest time and today I finally did! I’m so excited about it. I got Shroom, Expresso, and All that Glitter’s (in order on my fingers) to start my collection. I wanted to start with three basic colours’ that would still look nice together for now until I buy more. They are super pigmented and look really pretty together.  I love them and can’t wait to use them.
At Shephora I got the Urban Decay B6 Prep Spray. It looks really promising, it says it will reduce redness, which I always find a problem especially on my cheeks. It also absorbs oils and I normally have an oily t-zone. I also picked up my everyday moisturizer the Origins GinZing moisturizer. This is my third pot of it! I absolutely love it. It’s so light weight and absorbs really fast leaving my skin feeling fresh and moisturized. I also got the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On eyeliner in Perversion because I wanted a new pencil and the sales lady told me it was super easy to apply and will stay put all day.
I love looking at drugstore makeup so I went into Walmart. I got the Maybelline Rocket mascara, it’s my staple mascara right now. It’s amazing! It makes your lashes so volumous but doesn’t make them look thick and fake. I also go a Revlon ColourStay lipstick in Flashing Lights. It’s a really nice peachy colour. I got the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss to go over it in Pango Peach.  I also a little pouch to put in my purse for makeup and other essentials like Advil and hair ties.
I can never walk by a Lush store without going in! There fresh masks have been something I’ve wanted to try for a while now. The lady there was upper helpful and explained all the masks that would benefit me and all the good ingredients in them. I decided to go with the BB Seaweed because she told me it’s very basic and a good place to start. It’s exfoliating, and helps balance oily and dry skin types and also helps with acne. I’m very excited to use it because I’ve heard so much about their masks and I really hope they work.
I have been looking for the perfect bag for the longest time. I’m vey picky. I wanted something with a shoulder strap and as well as a handles. I wanted it to be a decent size but not to big and I wanted it to be good quality but didn’t want to spend a fortune on it. To my luck Kate Spade was having a 50% off sale this week! I found this bag in the clearance section so I got it for $140 and it was originally $348! And it is everything I was looking for, I’m in love with it!
I wasn’t very lucky with clothes, I only got some basic piece’s. Try and guess what my favourite colours are with these next few items.  At Mendocino I got this dark grey jersey dress. It’s a nice staple piece to have in your wardrobe. You can dress it up with some heals, a fancy belt and accessories or wear it with leggings and converse. It was also on the sale rack for $25.
I never go to the mall without going into Topshop. I got these simple tanks, they were 2 for $16.  I have one already and they are the perfect tank for layering under a cardigan or a lose top. I also got this cute grey crop t-shirt. I love shirt like this for layering or with my high waisted jeans.
My last stop was American Eagle. They have all there summer stuff out now which really excites me. But it’s hard to think of summer while it’s still blizzarding outside. All I picked up was this really cute Mickey Mouse cut off crop top. I can’t wait for the warm weather so I can wear it.

Have you been shopping lately? Any clothing store suggestions?

Imagine Dragons

Last night I went to see Imagine Dragons with my other best friend and again it was amazing! They started off pretty good but as the show went on each song was just better than the last one! They had so much energy on stage and added a lot of extra instrumental beginnings to there songs. It showcased the band really well, who were super talented. My favourite songs had to be Amsterdam, On Top of the World and of course Radioactive.  I have to say again that they were for sure better live than there album. Overall it was an amazing. They are definitely a must see. It may seem like I go t concerts a lot but two of my favourite bands just happened to be in town back to back!

Winter Skin Care Routine

So this winter has been a really long and very cold one and my skin has taken the hit from it.  But I have found products that have really helped me! So this has been my winter skin care routine.

My skin at the beginning of this winter was super dry and flaky. So I changed my normal moisturizer, Origins GinZing Energy-boosting moisturizer (which is amazing!) to the Clarins Hydra Quench Rich Cream moisturizer for very dry skin and it worked so well. It’s a lot thicker than the Origins one and absorbed into my skin nicely. It really helped with the flaking and got rid of the overall dryness. I use it in the morning and night.

For washing my face I have been loving the Roc Multi-Actions Make-Up Remover Milk. I was recommend this product because it’s a creamy product and better for dry skin. The lady at the counter told me that gel cleansers are made for people with oily skin, and that’s what I had been using. When I switched it has made a huge difference to my skin. It’s also a three in one product it cleanses, tones and moisturizes, but I still like to use another moisturizer after.  I have also been using the Make Up Forever Sens’Eyes Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser and it is so good at getting off all my eye makeup. It’s really genial even when I’m taking of waterproof makeup.

My next step is my Kate Somerville EradiKate Acne Treatment. This is just for small blemishes and pimples. My skin at the beginning of the winter was pretty bad with acne and this spot treatment did help a lot with most of the acne but was not always affective. However my sister got amazing results from it so I guess it depends on your skin. Mine tends to be more stubborn then hers.

My last step that I normally do once a week is use a face mask. The one that I’ve been loving is the Glam Glow YouthMud. It pretty expensive (I think $40) but wow it works remarkably. It’s a mud mast so it dry’s hard on your skin. You put it on the blemishes on your face and you can see the oil being pulled out of your skin. You can feel the difference after one use and see it after about three.

As for my body this winter I’ve been loving Soap & Glory. There Hand Food has saved my dry hands. It’s so amazing, it absorbs into your hands really fast. I always use it at school in between classes and can write a note next period no problem. I’ve also been loving there Butter Yourself body butter in the Five-Fruits sent, it smells so good! It’s a thicker texture but absorbs into your skin pretty quickly, I normally put it on as soon as I get out of the shower.  The last product I’ve been loving is the Bath & Body Works Coconut Lime Breeze body lotion. It’s a lighter moisturizer compared to the Soap & Glory one. But I love it because the smell reminds me of summer time!

This has been a terribly cold winter so far and I can't wait for it to be over and summer to come! I'll do another skin care routine when the warm weather comes around and I change up my system.

What products have you been loving this winter?
